Notre Dame’s Brother More Sports HOF 20th Anniversary Class

The 20th Anniversary Class of the Notre Dame High School Brother More CFX, Sports Hall of Fame will include the following inductees: Jim McSweeney (1964), Bob Roth (1972), Brian Fullem (1982), Beth Pasik (1986), Jessica Buckley (2011) and Allison Jones (2012).

Roth, a quarterback and leader was, “ahead of his time”, (according to his HS School Coach, Utica Sports and Notre Dame Hall of Famer, Ben Rizzo) was a two-time C.O.L. All-star (71, 72), a member of the 1971 All Diocesan team. He is the only Notre Dame Player to be selected to the Proctor HS all-opponent team. He was also a C.O.L Baseball all-star in 1969, 71 and 72.

Fullem, an all-state first team track star in 1981, won 3 C.O.L. Cross Country titles and 5 C.O.L. track titles. He was a Section III Class B Champion (3200) in 1980 and in the 1600, in 1981. In 1982 he was one of 10 athletes in the U.S and Canada to be chosen for the Millrose Games HS mile. A Bucknell University graduate, Brian was the top local boilermaker finisher in 1986 (finishing 24th over-all) and in 1993.

Pasik, a 1986 graduate, joins her sister and teammate Teresa, as a member of the HOF. Beth a 4-year varsity player was a member of the 1983 NYS Federation and NYS champion, 26-0 Girls Juggler basketball team, led by the great Shelly Penneyfather. Pasik went on to join her sister and Penneyfather, as members of the Villanova Wildcats Women’s Basketball team.

Mc Sweeney, a MLB pitching prospect, was a C.O.L. all-star in 63 and 64, where he led the Jugglers to C.O.L and City titles. He also pitched the first no-hitter in Notre Dame Baseball history.

The 2018 class is rounded out by 2-time Section III Doubles Champions and Co-Captains of the 2010 Sectional Team Championship, Jessica Buckley (2011) and Allison Jones (2012). Buckley, who went on to play tennis at RPI, was a six-year varsity starter, 4 x Tri-Valley League all-star, 3 x State qualifier and 2 x Section III Doubles Champion. Her partner on those Section III championships, Allison Jones, went on to play tennis at LeMoyne College, was also a six-year varsity starter, 4 x TVL all-star, 3x state qualifier and holds the ND career and season wins record, followed very closely by Buckley.
